ICU is a high-tech and high-risk environment where plenty of clinical information is processed for the provision of best care to the critically ill. To reduce the risk and improve efficiency, we resort to information technology by utilizing ‘Clinical Information System (CIS)’ for daily patient management. With the installation CIS across ICUs in HK, many ICUs are becoming more and more ‘paperless’.
