More than half of the adult intensive care units in Hong Kong are utilizing some sort of point-of-care information system, commonly referred as Clinical Information Systems or “CIS”. Frontline healthcare workers are heavily involved in the management of these systems so as to improve patient care quality and efficiency.

Last year, more that 120 participants from various local and overseas hospitals met in the Seminar on Clinical Information System to exchange our experience. They included healthcare worker from ICU and other specialties, IT professionals and academics from universities.
