Jointly organized by Department of Emergency Medical Services, University of Hawaii and Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital Charity Foundation

Pre-hospital Life Support Program of Emergency Medical Service, Community College of Kapiolani, University of Hawaii, USA has been commissioned to conduct the Inter-facility and Critical Care Transport Medicine (ICCTM, previously Escort Medicine) Course in Hong Kong.

Class capacity: 40 candidates in each class (closing date for enrolment: 19 Feb., 2009)

Objective of the course

The ICCTM Provider program is a 16 hour, 2-days course which trains the participant in:

¨           Quick assessment of patient before transport

¨           Airway management

¨           Intravenous therapy

¨           Pharmacology

¨           EKG

¨           Transport preparation and discharge

¨           Ambulance safety

¨           Management of worst case situations

¨           Practical session with hands-on experience in ambulance
