Figure. The Casa Milà, in the Eixample, Barcelona, designed by Antonio Gaudi (25 June 1852–10 June 1926), a Spanish architect. It has been said that the English word "gaudy", which means "showy, flashy, garish, tacky; excessively colorful, overly ornamented" comes from Gaudi, but more likely the English word is etymologically older.
