Course fee:

Early bird application on or before 10th August, 2015: $2500

On or after 11th August, 2015: $2800

Cancellation policy: Cancellation of registration must be notified in writing to Ms Candice Law. 50% of registration fee will be returned for cancellation made on or before 6th September 2015. There will be no refund for cancellation made on or after 7th September 2015.

 

 

You are cordially invited to the 7th Critical Care Respiratory Course (CCRC7) to be held on 6th and 7th October, 2015 at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital.

Course Overview and Objectives: Disease of the respiratory system are very important components of Critical Care Medicine. Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Professionals working both inside and outside the intensive Care Unit will encounter patients with acute respiratory conditions. This course will lead you through common respiratory problems and emergencies with 6 lectures and 7 hands-on workshops.

 

 

At the completion of this course, you will:

  1.     Have an understanding of pulmonary anatomy and physiology;
  2.     Understand and interpret respiratory investigations, including chest X-rays and blood gas;
  3.     Know in greater depths the principles of mechanical ventilation and airway management;
  4.     Learn how to set up and utilize non-invasive and invasive ventilation, monitor and take care of ventilated patients;
  5.     Learn in greater details the management of common acute respiratory diseases including asthma, COPD, ARDS, pneumonia and acute pulmonary edema;
  6.     Learn how to care for patients on mechanical ventilation.
