This image was obtained from the lung of a patient admitted with acute dyspnoea. What does it show and what are the likely possibilities?

Answer: The above USG image was taken from the anterior chest. It showed multiple B-lines and sliding lung nicely. B-line pattern indicates interstitial pattern of infiltrates. In this case, it is due to interstitial edema from acute pulmonary edema. Any form of interstitial infiltrates extending to pleural surface can give this pattern on USG chest.
