Highlight of the meeting
1. CCMF subcommittee suggests revising the policy. In short, a CCMF board will be setup to govern the funding and consideration of each application of subsidy. The formal draft will be circulated for council consideration. Formal endorsement in either EGM or in coming AGM will be preceded.
2. HKSCCM websitewill be served in new version for better display and security. Webmaster had explored method of online payment using Paypal, and council supports to setup the system in HKSCCM web for future use.
3. Council members are reminded that sponsorship issued by external source should not be in the form of monetary transaction between the sponsoring company and candidate. Instead, the sponsoring company should directly pay the essential expenses required for the applicant to attend conference/ training.
4. Secretary reports that HKSCCM has 116 members, among which 40 had expired without renewal. Secretary will issue electronic receipt to members and remind those who had failed to pay renewal.
5. 30th Anniversary campaign OC had scheduled the carnival on 27th October 2013, and is booking the venue at Discovery plaza. The book生命現場was released into market, and complimentary copies will be sent to active members via posting to working address. Council members are requested to recruit 12 voluntary ICU staff to participate the drama to be shown during carnival.
6. Academy subcommittee will collaborate with nursing colleagues to apply status of Continual Nursing Education (CNE) provider though HK Nursing Council. Nursing colleagues will be recruited to join the subcommittee, and a policy of nursing education will be issued.
7. Council has delegated Dr. HY So to bid APACCM 2018 on behalf of HKSCCM. Further information on the mechanism of collaboration and specific requirement will be sought out in due course.
8. OC of ASM 2013 has been formed under leadership of Dr. TAM Oi Yan Jackie. The tentative date is 8th Dec 2013 and the venue is pending confirmation. The theme and program will be workout after the first OC meeting on 24th July 2013.
9. Because of the very tight status of parking facility, QEH can only offer parking space to HKSCCM members after 6pm. Council meeting will be re-scheduled to 6pm on the day of every inter-hospital meeting, and the inter-hospital meeting will be re-scheduled as 1830 to 2030.
