2014 Oct – Asia Pacific Chapter ELSO Adult ECMO Training Course

Date: 30/10/2014 – 2/11/2014; Venue: Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong

Message from the Organizer:

Dear friends,

As the Hospital with the largest ECMO case load in Hong Kong, Queen Mary Hospital had been dedicated in providing quality ECMO service and education.  In the past 2 years, we have organized two regional ECMO training courses with simulation and both were well received.  In 2014, we are honored to take another step forward to co-organize an ECMO course in Hong Kong with Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) and Asia-Pacific ELSO (APELSO).

The ELSO is an international consortium of health care professionals and scientists who are dedicated to the development and evaluation of novel therapies for support of failing organ systems.  It was founded in 1989 and is currently the largest ECMO organization worldwide (http://www.elso.org/).

This course is officially endorsed by ELSO.  It consists of didactic lectures and simulation workshops.  Our faculties include renowned speakers from major ECMO centers in USA, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

ECMO simulation workshops will be conducted in small groups by experienced overseas and Queen Mary Hospital facilitators.

We would like to invite you to join our course from 30 October to 2 November 2014.  Please mark your diary.  We will announce the program and registration details very soon.  For further details, please contact Ms. Viann Yu at yth184@ha.org.hk.

Best regards,

Course co-directors
