Highlight of the meeting:
1. CCMF subcommittee receives an application to attend the critical care nephrology course which is organized by PYNEH. Since the applicant is a HKSCCM member who has no active participation yet, the chair of CCMF executive board suggests to issue reminder to the applicant about this particular requirement
2. HKSCCM receivedsponsorship issued by external source to support members to attend coming ESICEM in Brussels and overseas ECMO course.The procedure was run smooth.
3. HKSCCM has nominated six ICU colleagues to join the Winfocus ITU to organize future training courses in Hon Kong. Council is informed of the need of Winfocus membership subscription. Council is pleased to sponsor the fee, but is eager to know the duty of involved parties and the mode of collaboration and fund utilization before we proceed.
4. Reference is made to the special resolution dated 19 February 2014 regarding the amendment of the meaning of Fiscal Year on the Memorandum and Articles of Association. It was resolved that the Fiscal Year of the Association be 31 March annually with retrospective effect. It was further resolved that the Fiscal Years of 31 March used in previous years be ratified and the previous audited financial statements with the Fiscal Years of 31 March be valid notwithstanding the said Fiscal Years contravened the provision of the Articles of Association prior to the amendment to Memorandum and Articles of Association
5. The ASM 2014 organizing committee would be formed in a week time
6. It was resolved that as a co-organizer, we would share the cost of the COC (Renal) Commissioned training, which was around HK$15,000.
7. A Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy symposium would be held on 14 June 2014, co-organizing with the Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine.
