Highlights of the Twenty third Council meeting on 22 Nov 2011
1. Financial statement and audit report 2011 is under processing by the Hon Auditor. In case the report is not available for consideration in coming AGM, an EGM will be called in January 2012 on same day of usual CCM grand-round.
2. Annual report 2011 is adopted in council meeting. The annual report will be passed to AGM for consideration.
3. CCMF received five applications in 2011, where four successfully applied. There has been no suggestion in to revise the current subsidy policy.
4. Cumulative content hit rate of HKSCCM web had reached ~ 1,800,000, and average daily rate is still on increasing trend, with visitors coming from >100 countries and networks overseas.
5. Position statements: Dr Chau CM will help in drafting Transfusion in Major Trauma; Dr Chan KC will lead the group of CIS Specification; and Mr Luk HW will follow the progress of ICU Nursing Manpower Requirement.
6. The ITU of Winfocus has not yet finalized the year plan of 2012. Most preliminary idea will include one USG trauma life support course and one Focused ECHO course. Council will keep in touch of the progress via the two representatives namely Dr Lam KW and Dr Philip Lam.
7. ASM 2011 will be hosted on 4th December 2011. Prof. QIU Hai Bo from Mainland China, Dr. LEI Wai Seng from Macau and Dr. CHANG, Hsiao-Huang from Taiwan will deliver talks in plenary sessions. Altogether eight companies have been confirmed to sponsor the event in various formats. At present moment, around 80 delegates had registered online. Special arrangement of “Simulation Workshop” will be announced later by organizing committee.
8. HKSCCM book publication committee will finalize the draft by December 2011, and various well-established publishers will be approached. Sponsors will be welcomed in greatest respect.
9. HKSCCM was invited by Federation of Medical Societies of Hong Kong (FMSHK) to consider (1) hosting certificate course for health care workers and public; and (2) to participate the RTHK broadcast program “精靈一點” for public health education.. Council members nay submit proposed speakers and topics for coming year 2012
