Highlights of the Twentieth Council meeting on 24 May 2011:
1. IRD confirmed on 17th Mar that HKSCCM is recognized as a charitable body dating back from 12th December 2010. Revision of CCMF policy will be done by Dr KS Tang in order to fit the purpose as charitable body.
2. Cumulative content hit rate of HKSCCM web exceeded 1,000,000 on 7th May 2011. The H1N1 Forum will be closed because there have been scanty visits for long time.
3. HKSCCM position statement of artificial liver support (Role of MARS in ICU) is endorsed. Other topics are in progress.
4. Current term of membership lasts from 1st Jan 2011 to 31st Dec 2012. There were 47 members who had duly paid membership fee. Vast majority indicated their preference of automatic extension of membership upon the expiry of current term.
5. One application of CCMF subsidy was withdrawn because the applicant cannot successfully enroll into the specified course. Since the number of applications is small, no specific amendment of CCMF policy and application arrangement is indicated.
6. Organizing committee of Annual Scientific Meeting 2011, to be led by Dr Chan King Chung, had been set up. Preliminary date of meeting is December 2011.
7. An organizing committee, being led by Dr Lau Chun Wing, will be set up to organize activities to promote pubic education on CCM. Possible format includes public exhibition, drama and media conference. Any member shall approach Dr Lau if they are interested to join the committee. Mr. Luk Hing Wah will approach HKACCN for possible collaboration.
8. Domain names http://www.hksccm.org.hk and http://www.hksccm.hk will be added as HKSCCM websites. The exact cost will be clarified by webmaster with the company which has been providing the server platform.

The agenda, minutes of last meeting and the relevant documents are as arttached. Please note that we shall also take a group photo for the new term of council after the meeting, and so your attendance will be gracefully appreciated.
