This is the Bennett Model PR-2 Respiration Unit by Puritan-Bennett Medical Equipment, Los Angeles, California. It was nicknamed "The Owl" or "The Monster" in Hong Kong. The manual below was printed in 1979.

The PR-2 ventilator is a pneumatically powered, pressure-limited, time- or patient-cycled ventilator. It requires a 50 psi compressed gas source for operation. Because of its pneumatic characteristics and delivered tidal volume, the flow rate and oxygen concentration tend to change as the patient's respiratory status changes.
